Now it is Vodafone's turn to increase GPRS pack price by 50%

Last weel Airtel reduced the usage of the popular 2GB/ Rs 98/30 days to 1 GB.I went for Rs 251/8GB/90 days packs as it was not increased.Just got message from Vodafone that "starting from today Rs 98 will give only 1 GB .Any one using longer dated Vodafone GPRS packs (pre paid) ?:imbored:

Oh no! BTW Vodafone has doubled 3G packs. Now we get 200 MB for Rs 99 (earlier it was 100 MB).

^^Doubled 3G packs is a promotion valid only for limited period....but increase in 2G Data packs is permanent 😛

I am using 2gb@99 in mumbai and haven't got any such message but am expecting the same as airtel n vf follow same path .. Mutual understanding between these companies

Yes the data is doubled with 3G, but its mentioned as 'Limited Period Offer'.BTW if we are on 2G, and keep our mobile online (only mobile browsing, and apps which need internet access like Push mail, chat) for 24 hours for a month, how much data would it consume?When I used 2G, I hardly used 200 MB, which involved FB, checking mail, few apps like Snaptu, Twitter.

Just recharged 2gb plan & got an sms that now its 1gb only for 95/- in Delhi. fFor push mail/ browsing & chatting I don't consume more than 250mb per month but if I do connect to laptop then I often used 700mb so 1gb should be sufficient for most users on mobile.

2GB offer is still valid in Mumbai .. Just refilled for 99 and got 2GB

Friend it's 100% increase and not 50%; coz if you were to use 2GB with the new plan, you'll have to recharge twice with Rs. 98
