I've recently bought Samsung NC108 A4IN. It comes with DOS. I installed Ubuntu on it. If anyone here is planning to get a netbook, I would suggest this. It costed me 13.5k

Installed Ubuntu 11.10 in this. Display brightness, two finger scrolling,horizontal scrolling works without any tweaks!.

How long the battery lasts? 4 to 5 hours in normal usage? (3 cell?)
Netbooks due to less demand and lot of supply are available at attractive prices.(1 gb ram/1.6 Ghz Atom proccy/320 Gb hard disk/10.6" screen/Net cam)
Netbooks with pre installed win 7 starter/ win xp starts from 13500 up to 15k.
Asus Netbook with similar specs (Meego OS) starts @ Rs 10700 even.
Increase RAM 1 to 2 GB ,instal win7 starter -good to go for travel -browsing,movie on the move.

I get around 6-8 hours of battery on a normal usage. What is the need of installing Win 7 starter if everything works fine with Ubuntu?. Pinch zoom and other stuff work now without any tweaks.
Well Iam still in the Windows stone era and never tried Ubuntu or Mac OS ! 6 to 8 hours battery amazing!
I recently bought AMD Fusion C-50 Brazos netbook/laptop (15.6" screen-4 Gb DDr3 Ram-320 Gb-win 7 64bit ultimate SP1) It gives around 4 to 5 hours in normal use.
Due to recent $ /Re movements and hard drive price spike due to Thailand flood ,all laptops and net books have gone up by atleast Rs 1000-1500.
In Intel Atom N455 chip-1 Gb DDR3Ram/250 to 320 GB HD category - Asus X101 @ Rs 11600-Flipkart (weight less than a kilo) is the cheapest.
Brave souls who are willing to pre pay by credit card/netbanking can get it from letsbuy @ Rs 11900-Rs1000=Rs 10900!)

Wait dude. As per the news I heard before 1-2 months. New model Atom processors should be launched in December.
