Contention ratio and download speed relationship

Hi Friends,I have a Tata Indicom 1 MBPS unlimited plan with contention ratio of 1:4.I would like to know what would be my download speed? Is it 1024/8 or 1024/4? In short whats the relationship between d/w speed and contention ratio?Currently I am getting d/w speed of around 100 KBPS.Thanks,Datta

If u take 1:1 leased line also your speed will be 1024/8
100 kbps is a good speed for a 1 mbps line....
