they have done everything right except for android 2.2.

if they had shipped it with android 2.3, it would probably have found more takers.

knowing spice, it is very hard to imagine when they would release gingerbread for it.

also... if i am not wrong, they announced this phone to feature gingerbread?

well blackberry design has been copied by a lot of companies including samsung, Nokia and i believe even motorola. copying the user interface especially the icons could get spice in a lot of trouble. but then i doubt Apple would have any relevant copyrights/trademarks here in india.

I strongly feel that Olive wanted Huawei to push 2.3 & maybe few other things for their version of the X6. But some delays in achieving that, has led to Olive Smart being stuck & now its no longer so "Smart"
