What ping in gaming servers ?

What average Ping you all get in Gaming. i play Bad Company 2 and my pings are: In European Servers i get around: 290MSIn US Servers: 370MS I wonder how can i pressure my cablewallah to improve response time, as earlier i used to get much lower pings in 220MS range. His current response is gaming server problem! which is bullshit. PS: I am on 10MBPS unliited plan.
