Hi all, i have just ordered for a Beam Cable internet connection..

I would like the exisiting users to help me and tell me like wat Pings u get for ur connection.

For ping result plz check in the following website and tell me the result.

Please check the result with Mumbai server.

And also tell me how is the connectivity of Beam in hyderabad.

I will Post the Speed Test Results of a 256kbps connection.
Firstly, There was a connectivity and routing issue to USA servers and due to that the speeds were inconsistent.. Now its been solved completely(99.5%) and speeds and youtube problem has been mostly solved.
i Dropped my package to the minimum Speeds as i have exams and dont wanna use this month. At Present i am having an 256kbps connection and these are speed results to different Servers.

well ur Upload & Downloads r both in equal ratio, its good. But as u go 4 higher plans the uploads r not equal with the downloads.

well if u want i can post the speed tests of 786kbps plan? u can judge the connection.

As i was saying the speeds are consistent. The Speeds and Connectivity is now not a Question!

Well i can post the 4mbps plan speed results tommorrow. I have noticed that the speeds are just good and IBF member ranjitbhar(tech2buzz.com) who was using the beam connection before gave a review which was according to the speeds then, now its different these guys are expanding to Chennai as per my information.

Its in hyderabad right now, plans of expanding to chennai.
Its like some hayai broadband in hyderabad.. which provides internet by Fibre Optic, but the only worry is the laying of Fibre from Pole to pole!

Do not compare this Broadband with Reliance as it is not worth comparing with Reliance! Reliance is damn Good, have one connection @ my office!
Beam Fibre is Good and pure value for money! These guys have 55% of the market share! lol 🙂

From what I know of Beam's network, it's nothing like ours, and would be more accurately compared with Reliance's Metro Ethernet plans.

Oh, and a Reliance business connection of course will be higher quality than Beam consumer connection.

I hope your network Mgcarely is not like beam wires hanging all over the city getting cut every few weeks......... I hope your connectivity to US servers would also be good like reliances network.

I don't see why it wouldn't be good. I'm even thinking of what steps we can take when it comes to improving connectivity between India and the US - there's a route which would in theory be slightly higher latency to the US but with very small amounts of actual usage, so it would probably work out the same, but probably with better speeds.

Oh, and no aerial fiber here.

Thats the negative point fibres hanging around the poles and internet getting disturbed atleast once a month!

Oh i see, It would be good if some isp offers Internet in hyderabad through fiber (underground) there will be no fibre cuts!
