^ more details are required for someone to respond .How are you using VOIP ? Have you connected router & phone adaptor ? which router & on which VOIP service ?Are you using VOIP along with downloading some stuff ? ...
 
use low bandwith codecs like gsm or ilbc .. g711 ulaw and alaw takes heck lot of bandwith but they do give best quality .. gsm is something 25 kbps and ilbc is 14 kbps (all for one side up or down ) . Quality is like G711-->GSM--> ilbc but in some cases ilbc can be better than gsm .
 
Instead try X-lite 3.0! Just download it and put the voipbuster sip settings in it. Also just select ilbc codec in settings->advanced option. You will notice only 4.5 kBps up and down used while voice chat.Also i would recomend not to download while voiping unless you have Qos enabled software.
 


i brought a Linksys PAP2 adapter for vonage internet phone to b used here in India. Have BSNL at home as internet provider, but am unable to connect. Please advise
