Signals are available in Chinchwad, Pimpri, Shivaji Nagar.

Idea is good only in Sirji Ads. It may show 3g but very disgusting speed you will get.

Also if they don't allow u to use above 68mb in one day on their 2G network then they surely won't let u have a ride on their 3G network so cheaply. They will give limits like 50 mb per day or so. Mark my words among the 4-5 network operators providing 3G in India they will come with the worst 3G data plans(though their video calls and other offers may be competitive).Idea is the worst when it comes to data. They live in the age of my grandfathers & considers data as premium facility to be used for business only. I hate idea for its GPRS packs though their network is robust at most places.No expectations from Idea, as the money of the SirJi & MNP ads is going to be recovered by looting we customers in the name of 3G.

Signal strength is very good. And they are covering many areas day by day!!!! 🙂 Waiting for Vodafone 3G services.

I guess most of recently sold sim are 3G ready. I didnt need to change my Vodafone sim (purchased 1 year back) to start getting 3G.

Idea is a very Old Player in Maharashtra. So if Sim Card would be 2-3 years Old, then it needs to be changed . Mostly Postpaid Sim Cards are of 32K or 64K which are 3G ready whereas Old Prepaid Sim Cards 16K needs to be upgraded as their capacity is low. And Now a days it takes merely Rs 25 to get the replaced Sim Card .
