Beam Telecom + Ubuntu 10.10 disconnects and logs off every 10 minutes

Hi, I'm a Beam subscriber, and I'm trying to get this connection to work on a machine with Ubuntu 10.10 installed (I've not tried older versions of Ubuntu on Beam). The problem is, each time after I log into the Beam network (over its redirected login page), the connection works fine for 10 or so minutes, but then the connection is lost. After reseting eth0 (the network connection), I'm made to log in again through Beam's redirected login page, this happens every time. Any solutions?
 
u sure its cos of the OS? did u try it with any other OS?
 
OK, it's not just Ubuntu, but just about any OS installed on this PC. I've also tried changing the NIC. Every 15 or so minutes, the connection is stopped. I'm having the reset the connection, after which, it's making me sign in on the Portal.beamtele.com page again.
