I am using Airtel's Binatone
router as host while my
TP-Link router (
wr841n) as an extender wirelessly.
You want a wired connection or wireless?
If wireless do the following things-
Main router-
1) Set WIFI password type to wpa/wpa2 with AES
2) Note down the channel number somewhere.
Secondary/Extending router (tplink)-
(Assuming you have the same menu as mine)
1) Make sure DHCP is disabled. After disabling connect it to your computer by setting static ip.
2) In wireless settings-
-Use Mixed 11gbn
-Current Channel should be same as previous router.
-Click on survey and chose the main/primary router, enter its details like password
3) Go to Network, Lan-
Set local ip address in the same subnet as your primary router. (Example if your primary routers ip is 192.168.1.1 then set local ip as 192.168.1.2 If your primary routers ip is 192.168.0.1 set it as 192.168.0.2)
In future you will be using this ip address to open router config page.
Thats all it should work
