In a radical move to boost the EVDO Data and Mobile services India’s National Telecom backbone Bharat Sanchar Nigam Ltd (BSNL) announced the pan-India Launch of Unlimited Prepaid EVDO Plan with National Roaming facility (except Mumbai/Delhi) over its CDMA mobile services. Earlier the Unlimited Plan was available only with Postpaid service. BSNL introduced new attractive Unlimited Downloads plan (Home and Roam) at just Rs. 750 for its prepaid EVDO Data card subscribers across India. With the promotional plan subscriber can access High speed wireless Internet with unlimited Downloads-Uploads while on move across India.
The operator also unveiled 3 limited plans starts from Rs. 150 . Earlier with the prepaid services the only Pay As per Use Plan was available with default tariff of 5 paisa /100KB(50 paisa per MB) for data usage. BSNL EVDO data card provide High speed wireless broadband service up to 3.1 Mbps.

The bundled free data usage is also applicable while in National Roaming across India with in BSNL network.

No carry forward of un-utilized free data usage will be allowed after the expiry of validity period.
EVDO Roaming will be allowed in BSNL circles only.

I wonder why BSNL 3G Unlimited cost is almost double that of BSNL EVDO Unlimited ?By the way is the unlimited 3G and unlimited EVDO data download the same ?If so,how much ?
 
mmm bsnl has to pay a huge price for the 3G spectrum. the unlimited plan they are offering is actually a shock to most of us considering 3G data prices are likely to be very high.

OK..But why the cost of 3G is double that of EVDO ?

Is EVDO equipment less costly than 3G ?

What I think is that BSNL wants to reduce the pressure on 3G so that those who are interested in Data only plans should opt for EVDO or Wimax instead of 3G.
 
^^ dude admin answered u very well.The spectrum has cost them thousand of crores .Google 3g spectrum and check the prices u will understand what they have to recover from the spectrum.
 
what is unlimited plan in bsnl EVDO and how much it cost plus what is download speed ????
