Apparently, the sites have been blocked because the government suspect that terrorist outfits (read SIMI etc) are using blogs to communicate.

Not only blogspot was blocked, the typepad.com and geocities site were also blocked.But now I can access those sites. Does everyone here can access?

Well the blocking has hardly served any purpose..anybody knowing even little bit about computers can access the blogs..it has only generated more interest in the blogs and made them more popularMaybe they need to go to China to learn this stuff 😛 Still an irritating step and a Violation of freedom of speech, somebody will soon approach the SC..i guess..going by the way people are running to court over every matter..

Amazingly though MTNL mumbai is listed, i can access blogger, geocities and typepad sites. I think only MTNL Delhi is blocking access aand not mumbai.

Exatt never blocked blogspot,typepad, that list is surely not entirely correct. Only geocities doesn't open here.
