Sify Help

I am using my VOIP (Packet8 ) thru Sify broad band, I have no problems using sify, but the thing is if there is no activity my sify connection disconnects after an hour or so,( My connection is unlimited)

Also i need to keep my system on to Run my VOIP, Can any one help me how to solve this problem,or can i use my VOIP Without keeping my system on all time

Well ..just look around on the internet for some kinda script (.bat file in windows) that will periodically ping some site or to just send dummy packets on the network to keep the connection alive.
 
just login to your msn and yahoo messengers and it will do your work of staying connected!
 
I think you should have router that could do the dialing for you(pc need not be turned on) . Not sure though. The problem is these type of connection are not available in any other part of world so no solution is developed yet.Though i think u should call sify direct and ask them about a router(recommended) that could do the dialing.
