Wireless Internet On Laptop ?

I have a desktop and laptop.At home I have installed a wireless router because of which I can use the Hathway internet on the laptop wirelessly anywhere in the house with Wifi.Now I want to use wireless internet on my laptop in the entire city(Mumbai).Is this possible ? Is there any broadbrand operator allowing wireless connectivity across Mumbai.Or are there any settings to do the same.Because when I search for wireless networks on my Laptop using Wifi,I always get a network name Netgear.I dont know what is.Can anyone help me out. :help:
 
There are currently no broadband operators offering city-wide wireless internet coverage(WiMax in other words) but that could change in a few years. For now, you could try using Reliance's Rconnect service (internet thru mobile phones using a usb data cable). Obviously u'll need a phone and a connection from Reliance.
