My sincerest apologies forehand if this has been already answered before. But most of the guides I found were directed for ADSL users.
I've recently switched to Beam cable because of their cheap 4mbps plan. I plan to share the connection with another computer. I've previously been a BSNL ADSL user and the only hardware I have is a D-Link GLB-502T(single ethernet port). Now beam is cablenet which directly connects to my onboard lan. I intend to to have wired internet connectivity for both the computers.
My queries are
1. Since its not an ADSL type connection, is it possible to split it at all?
2. If yes, what additional hardware do I need to buy? I would prefer a wired solution and an indicative price is also greatly appreciated.
