Looks like MTNL is going to be the first ISP to launch WiMax. They are going to launch pilot projects in Delhi and Mumbai. Depending on the response, and once it gets spectrum from regulatory authority, they will commercially launch it.

WOW! so, delhi can expect a broadband ki bharmaar! mtnl/bsnl + airtel + reliance launching iptv when legislation issues clear up (if iptv stays within the ambit of cable-tv, providers will be forced to conduct censorship), and now, this bit of news : mtnl's wimax.

i'm guessing... iptv will be 768k/rs. 2k/mo. and wimax will be a 15th-august (2007) style gift.

oh well, jhandaa ooncha rahay hamaara, y'all...
