After call charges, SMS rates may be next to tumble

i think i had seen ad by some mobile company stating per character rates for SMS.
 
Good News abut the Service Provider are Decreasing the Talk Value on the Top Up Recharges simultaneously !!They are not here for a Charity..
 

it is a well known fact that sms is probably the cheapest form of communication for mobile service provider yet it is priced so high. even at 1 paisa, it is a highly profitable service for any mobile service provider in the country.
 
Yeah that's totally true. I hope they come down to 10p/sms or something without any pack.
 
oh well the problem is that they now have few ways to actually generate profits from mobile services... think about the low charges of calling... sms has been one field that has a very high profit margin. airtel is already suffering with falling revenues in the recent times due to the new price war in the calling charges.
