How To Uncap The Modem For Speed

does any 1 know how to uncap the modem like people do with cable modem for speed. can we do the same on this type of ADSL modem by BSNL. like this site explains http://www.tcniso.net/index.php[/b]

u cannot uncap ADSL modem as the speed is synced from your ISP's end unlike cable modems where the speed is capped in the modem itself...enjoy!!!

right said coolbuddy.
u can cap CABLE MODEM . coz whn cable modem SYNC up with ISP .. it download smal file(contain your speed settings ) :D from their server and cable modedm stored tht in its flash ..
i have done this on SB4100 and it worked great ..though caught after 2 days (POOR IQARA ) :p :p :p :p

i knew ppl who uncapped airtels n got caught n finally posed as if they are nooby to computers n notin happened . i guess they may fine some heavy bill or sometin :-s

Man AFAIK you _CANT_ uncap dsl modems. Airtel uses DSL . Please point a link as to how the person uncapped his airtel modem!!!!!!!
Forget about uncapping , going from the experience of people here , Airtel doesnt even give the promised 256 kbps....and what with uncapping?!??!?!?

right ... u cant UNCAP ADSL (BSNL) OR SDSL ( AIRTEL) ot any other DSL version ... because they Set the Speed on on EAch PORT of their DSLAM ..
Only CAble Technology can be uncapped ..

@Leomax ... well they simply disconnect my CONNECTION :p

Had u changed ur mac address of the modem as well as the NIC MAC? curious how they found out :) Probably..got too greedy and d/led for long ;)
