BSNL 500 Combo
I'm using D-Link 502T modem for my BSNL BB connection. During day time it works fine i.e. there are disconnections but not so frequent compared to night (2-8). In night its worst i.e. disconnection happens very frequently i.e. after 2/3/5 minutes it get disconnected. I'm using Vista and using AVAST as anti-virus which is updated regularly (in case someone thinking about virus activities)Any help there?

May be a server issue. Did you checked the SNR and attenuation values.

How to find out SNR and attenuation values for GLB-502T??

1) Open internet explorer and give the following address
http://192.168.1.1
The Login page will appear.

2) The username is ‘admin’.
Password is ‘admin’.

(default if not changed)

3) D-Link welcome page will appear.

4) From the main menu click on STATUS >> Modem Status. (it should be there, since i dont use this router so not so sure.)

Search for ADSL Statistics

where you can find

SNR Margin (dB): ?
Attenuation (dB): ?
Output Power (dBm): ?
Attainable Rate (Kbps): ?

Post details over here.

During day time what is the frequency of disconnection..?

I was able to get something similar what you have asked on 192.168.1.1.
Here is that:
Modem Status
Connection Status Connected
Us Rate (Kbps) 69
Ds Rate (Kbps) 7944
US Margin 7
DS Margin 6
Trained Modulation ADSL_2plus
LOS Errors 10
DS Line Attenuation 14
US Line Attenuation 75
Peak Cell Rate 162 cells per sec
CRC Rx Fast 0
CRC Tx Fast 11
CRC Rx Interleaved 86
CRC Tx Interleaved 0
Path Mode Interleaved

DSL Statistics
Near End F4 Loop Back Count 0
Near End F5 Loop Back Count 0

Disconnection during day time is like once in hour.

When I tried to setup GDMT, ADSL link is not remaining stable and I need to rollback to original one i.e. ADSL_2Plus

Just update:
Tonight I have removed all the phones in my home and only modem is connected to BSNL line. I can see difference in speed i.e. result of test is as below
https://www.speedtest.net
While previous score is in my signature

While snr values are:
Modem Status
Connection Status Connected
Us Rate (Kbps) 84
Ds Rate (Kbps) 8189
US Margin 8
DS Margin 9
Trained Modulation ADSL_2plus
LOS Errors 0
DS Line Attenuation 13
US Line Attenuation 4
Peak Cell Rate 198 cells per sec
CRC Rx Fast 0
CRC Tx Fast 0
CRC Rx Interleaved 0

During day time what is the frequency of disconnection..?

Hello,
Thank you for your above post. I have a similar problem of frequent (unbelievably 10-20 times during an hour!!) disconnection during the night (9 pm to 11 pm) and have been searching for remedial measures. Using your suggestions above, I have the following details:
--------------------------
Statistics -- ADSL
Mode: ADSL2+
Line Coding: Trellis On
Status: No Defect
Link Power State: L0

Downstream Upstream
SNR Margin (dB): 29.7 13.2
Attenuation (dB): 50.5 28.4
Output Power (dBm): 12.2 18.2
Attainable Rate (Kbps): 7021 1135
Rate (Kbps): 2046 865

B (number of bytes in Mux Data Frame): 59 11
M (number of Mux Data Frames in FEC Data Frame): 1 8
T (Mux Data Frames over sync bytes): 1 7
R (number of check bytes in FEC Data Frame): 0 16
S (ratio of FEC over PMD Data Frame length): 0.9979 3.7966
L (number of bits in PMD Data Frame): 481 236

The above statistics are for the early morning time (8 AM) today and not sure if this will change when I have frequent disconnections during night. (I intend to see that in the night today....).

Can you tell me what could be the problem? I read elsewhere that it could be a 'port' problem at the exchange, but you know the BSNL guys, it is extremely difficult to get one who listens to you properly. May be arming me with a proper solution and approaching them with that might help me get away from this problem.

Having said that, otherwise my BSNL broadband is excellent (and I am in a rural village where only BNSL provides cable broadband!!!) during day time. Even few city folks who have had opportunity to work on my PC were surprised at the speed I am getting and from what they tell me, it is much better! So I should be happy. Yet, I am not because of the night time problems and I need to regularly login between 9 pm to 12 pm for work on a remote desktop arrangement for my employer in Australia.

Grateful for your answer and guidance.
I have another PC problem where the CPU and fan works furiously (interrupt services???) for long and the only solution is to reboot the system... but that can wait for a later query.
Thanks.
