Ok guys, i hope this post will be helpful to most of you before you decide to make a shift to Tata Indicom Broadband.Cons:1: If your current setup is with a CAT-5 cable running overhead into your home, and you suffered frequent disconnection issues during rainy season, you are likely to suffer the same with TataIndicom Broadband. As their setup is no different from that of Sify/Hathway. Instead of CTO's, they have their own personal manning the server point. They run a overhead CAT-5 cable from their server point till your router. CAT-5 cable is notorious for coughing up a furball when you most need the conenction.2: You have to pay 250rs re-connection charges just in case you forgot to pay your bill on time.3: Expensive pricing compared to Airtel4: Unproven and unknowledgeable Customer care.Pro's:1: Static Public IP for post paid plans, some geeks might say this may fall in Con's, but if you know enough about security to have a decent firewall, you can access your pc from anywhere in the world.2: Big name 'VSNL' backing it. I hope they don't suffer the same fate as SIfy.So, if you are currently having a Cat-5 cable internet connection, i suggestion don't jump the gun and opt for Tata. In India , its always better to go for a ADSL (Airtel) connection which is more reliable than a overhead CAT-5 cable. There is no point paying 2000 rs again for the same kind of technology.
