2 comp connection over local lan

Hi to allis it possible for me and my friends to share files over local lan we both are using sify broadband, we live nearby but out default gateway are different does someone have solution for this. If there is some software which make it possible. I want to share over local sify lan not after login into the sify broadband client.

Does any one have solution for my problem mentioned above. Is it possible using dc++. Also no client other sify is working on my comp like easy sify supersify etc. i think they updated their protocol in my area. Also is their any to connect in linux since their sify client has also stopped working . Please help me solve these problemsThanks

u can use some vlan s/fs like hamachi

nop. i m not sure whether that will work or not .. u can add more default gateways but u'll lose connection after some time and u'll also have to use another's IP address as well. my easy sify is working fine here. try easysify 1.0 version. now there is a way for that .. that's what i used to do. install VMware and install XP on that give direct acces to that particular operating system and then put ur friend's ip address in that operating system and also share ur drives in that particular operating system.u'll have to do alot of RnD for that. that's what i did. but if u need any suggestions in that feel free to ask.i think that's the only solution if u want to stay connected while sharing file if easy sify 1.0 is also not working in ur area.Best of Luck Dude !!

Yeah easy sify's v1.0 and the first 1.1 version still works for me atleast

i got my mac freed now everything works fine for me too :)
