i want to know which lnb is better to recieve signals in dth
1:c band
2:ku band

----------

i think it will be trouble free in rainy seasons:thumbsup:but dish size maybe bigger:huh:

one can only use ku band lnb for dth services in india...

What you heard is wrong... For C band you would need at least a 4-foot dish. Not many will go for a big dish on top of their homes...

Problem with Ku band is interference due to rain, which does not affect c band at all

I think C Band :hysterical:

At mtbhat, C band is only used by channel broadcasters to broadcast their channels in large areas & across continents. While DTH service is targeted to be used in Small area (or country). This small area transmission can only be achieved by using highly directional satellite beam possible by Ku band, and not by C band as C band have wide beams.
So for DTH you can ONLY use Ku band LNB (and dish).
What you are referring about govt allowing C-band transmission, could be for HITS, where channels are broadcast over C band, but those signals are not of use for end customers, but to HITS operator who would downlink C-band signals and later send those channels over cable to customers.

I think C Band :hysterical:
Can't you post without using those smilies?
Admin, is there any way of blocking smilies for any particular users?
