Error 1722 RPC server unavailable : Tata Indicom

I have recently bought TATA INDICOM broadband connection. Speed & connectivity are excellent. But I am facing a strange problem. After half an hour or so, it says Error 1722; RPC server unavailable.Under such conditions, internet stops functioning and I get connectivity only if I restart my Laptop. No other option works. Can any one help me to resolve this. The customer care seems to have no clues about this. I am using Windows Xp.

Hi, created this id here to provide the solution for this problem, I have been facing this problem for months, contacted customer care, visited service centre, did installation many times but the problem appears again.
Installation of tata photon software/ windows again and again can provide you temporary solution but useless
It works fine for just 5 – 10 minutes and error comes again
I have found permanent solution for this problem now, follow these steps:

1.Copy the following code [only the text in bold].




@ECHO off

reg add HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\netbt\param eters /v TransportBindName /t REG_SZ /d "" /f

reg add HKLM\Software\Microsoft\OLE /v EnableDCOM /t REG_SZ /d "N" /f


Echo Error 1722 Problem Is Fixed ....Press any key to continue

2. Open a notepad and paste the above copied content to the notepad.
3. Save the file as Error1722.bat and close it.
4. Double-click on Error1722.bat and run it.
5. After fixing the errors, it will ask you to press any key to finish.
6. Press any key and that's all to fix the problem Error :1722 RPC server not available.
7. Restart machine if necessary.
