It was undoubtedly the Best one day match played in the history of the game.I am very Happy that SA defeated the arrogant Australians who otherwise would have been the history makers for highest run makers. 🙂There was a time when 300 was considered a winning score, now even 434 was not enough. 😛
we had just entered the pub when lee was bowling the second ball of the last over! i thought people were amused (everyone was like staring at the screen drunk and smoking hard!) because it was the final match of the 5 match series and both team had a chance. it was only when their were 3 balls left that i noticed the scoreboard. i thought my eye sight was week that i was seeing a score closer to 440 runs. 😀 i had to confirm with the dude sitting next to me if it was for real. and it was indeed!when south africa hit the winning run, everyone in the pub was like so excited that india had won the world cup!
It was an AWESOME match!!!My friend told me that Australia had made 434 runs and I couldnt believe it. I switched on tv and saw for myself, that time Smith and Gibbs were kicking ass man!!! Really enjoyed watchin the match, it was certainly the best match in one day history. What i really enjoyed was seeing ricky ponting's face at the end of the match
