Download Data Rate detecter?

is there any software which tells u how much data has been downloaded/uploaded.i'm thinking about taking a connection.. with 256kbps / 500mb download data rate.so i wud like to keep a check of how much mbs i've used
 
I think you guys should make a download section in this forum.only free and demo version software :lol:
 
Making such a section is easy.Maintaining & updating it.... day after day & every day - now thats quite a responsibility though.

I recommend NetMeter

Similar to DUMeter, but freeware.
