strange mtnl wifi router problem

i just changed my router. mtnl sent me a wifi router as requested. it is hg520 with 4 lan ports.

the problem is the net keeps stopping. when i ping the dns it keeps showing REQUEST TIMED OUT from time to time because of which the connection with any site im surfing breaks.

please help....

hey buddy!! that is not a router problem...am getting the very same error from today.Ping's are showing "request time out".looks like server problem to me.
 
If the ping is breaking only on dns ip then definatately dns problem, but if its breaking on all site is rather line/server problem. try pinging 4.2.2.1 -t and see if it breaks also.
