2G Data plans in 3G SIM

Friends , Is it possible to get 2G plans in a BSNL 3G SIM ? I want to know whether I can recharge with 2G plans like 98 Rs (2GB free) , 274 Rs Unlimited , etc..If yes , what will be the speed I'm getting ?

yes. u can recharge, but speed will be limited to 128kbps only

R U sure the 2G-data plans (Rs98/2GB) are still working in 2G SIM ?? For my Chennai number Rs98 recharges are not working for the past 1 month or more.... Pls confirm the 2G data recharges that are working in Chennai/Tamilnadu circle nowadays...
 

For 2G GPRS plans, you supposed to recharge through SMS to 53733! E-Recharge has been stopped for TN region from last few months!
