Luciano Mares, 81, of Fort Sumner said he caught the mouse inside his house and wanted to get rid of it.

\"I had some leaves burning outside, so I threw it in the fire, and the mouse was on fire and ran back at the house,\" Mares said from a motel room Saturday.

Village Fire Chief Juan Chavez said the burning mouse ran to just beneath a window, and the flames spread up from there and throughout the house.[/b]

Moral of The Story?Dont Throw a pesky mouse which u want to get rid off into a fire of burning leaves, coz it MIGHT take revenge by running all araound your house and burning it down at the same time...which MIGHT prompt th news to spread to differnet parts of the world where ppl cheer for the mouse and not the 81 year old guy who lost his house! (phew!)

Moral of the story, wood is a bad building component. 😛Most houses in the west use wood extensively, even in walls & floors. That vengeful mouse wouldn't have been able to do a SINGLE thing in India, where we rely upon mud/cement-bricks & stone walls.

read the 3 little pig story for prathapml's point...but wooden houses arenot at fault...at differnet places u gotta have them...

And with near Zero temperature, Dehli would be one of such places. Wooden house with wall and floor carpeting would be warm.

But again, you would not want mice around with such a house, would you 😉

what about japan? earthquakes?
