Hi Gurus, I have a Sify Broadband (256kps) connection at my home in Mumbai and wanted to connect a Wireless Router (Netgear 814) to it. How do I do that since Sify needs a client for connection to work ? Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated ...
well, you plugin the Sify cable into the router's WAN port. Change the MAC of the router to your comp's MAC (the one which Sify has bound your connection to). Then you need to put in the IP / Subnet details in the router. Plug in your comp's cable into the router. Try pinging the Sify's default gateway. If it goes ok then you're in business. Just use the sify dialer to authenticate yourself as usual and it should work 🙂
