PDS: Beneficiaries not using subsidy amount to buy foodgrain: Puducherry | India News - Times of India

The Puducherry administration has approached the Union food ministry to seek a return to the system of distributing subsidised foodgrain, instead of crediting the subsidy to the bank accounts of beneficiaries. The Union territory administration has claimed the beneficiaries are not using the subsidy amount to buy foodgrain.

^ can we talk about the cost of making adhaar too? In my native village, operators are taking 150~200 bucks to give a print out of adhaar/change details. thats a huge amount for villagers. some of them earn that much after working for a whole day.
