Wireless LAN in Ubuntu8.04

I have Laptop of Lenovo 3000G410 2049-43Q Wireless Lan of gemtek inbuild. My wireless lan does not work in Ubuntu (Always OFF). Hardware not found. But its good working in XP. Kindly help me for Hardware Config. (WLan) in Ubuntu Linux. BSNL Broadband Modem MT882.

Yeah loads of ppl are having trouble with wifi on ubuntu...


Install MadWifi and it should work :thumbsup:

I doubt MadWifi will work since that is for Atheros chipsets I believe and OP's might be Broadcom.Like Evol asked earlier, please post output of "lspci -nn" here to confirm what it is in the first place, else search the Ubuntu forums...
