New owners of Sify Broadband?

Wimax will not help much... unless they can keep pings low. That is th major prob on wireless connections, high latency. And that is a no-no for interactive multimedia etc, which will soon be the way to make money on the net.
 
wireless connections dont have ping problems lest its a satellite connection
 
Maybe the new owners will bring sify back to a respectible state. After having such a horrible time with sify, I'm never going to choose it again, even if it does get better.
 
As often repeated the new management needs to repair the patchwork network which is in tatters like a street urchin's clothes and is passed off as an ISP called Sify.
 
the question is, would they be ready to do that???can we expect LAN internet as in US???or they'll just think how to make more profits, giving the customers less???

LAN internet? What's that? We already get internet through LAN on Sify and it's no good 😛
 
I pity poor Infinity Capital Ventures. Who was the fool who advised them to buy.... out of all companies.... sify!! 😕They must b out of their minds!!They shudve burnt their money rather than spending it on sify..... they shudve atleast done some research... visited this forum atleast! 😉This shows that the sify ppl are expert swindlers!! 😛May God help Infinity!!

trump, they certainly arent everywhere in Mumbai. And for your kind information, Reliance WWs are everywhere and are expanding at a breakneck speed! They offer much better service than Sify iways. If Infinity cap. is thinking that it will compete with Reliance WWs with the oh-so-great sify infrastructure then they are on a path which leads to only one place - DISASTER!
 
You don't understand - they bought it at a underpriced value. So they are pretty confident abt recovering their investment. hey bought it a a price to earning ratio of 5:1 (ie if Sify earns 1 crore in a year, they paid 5 crore). So that is dirt cheap for them. They can't lose much on such a deal.
 
ok...whatever you say. But I dont buy the story of them trying to compete with Reliance WWs!
 
they may be not interested in competing with Reliance WW ,they are more interested in capturing market of local cyber cafes that are open in shops or small places
 
in bangalore.... sify iways are everywhere...gaming in sify iway is far cheaper than in reliance
