Help needed

Hello There is a problem for my friend. He is using Dataone256k but the connection type is not a Dial-up one, it connects to net when he switches on the Modem (without any Dialing). So similarly switch-off the modem to disconnect internet. so he needs to convert this type of logging on to Dial-up type.Pls HelpThanx in advance
 
Enable Connection-on-demand in the modem/router settings. What is your friend's modem type/model #.
 
there must be a "reset" pin-hole behind the modem , next to the small black power switch... shove a pin into the pinhole to reset the modem to factory settings then try using your "dial up"dont create a "dial up" connection... if you have Windows... create a new network connection and pick "broadband" option... this is where you can enter your username/passwordk-thx
