Hi all,does anyone know when High Defination TV signals will be available in india. I saw HDTV in USA recently and simply dont feel like watching TV without HD.:redface:

Nups ...no HDTV in India as of yet .. Only National geographic channel has officially announced to air HDTV signals in India , but surly will take its time .Any ways ....wait for some time 🙂

Sun Direct DTH is going to provide High Definition TV (HDTV) in India and will shortly launch a few HD channels according to their website.

Many HDTV channels available in Indian region... some are FTA aswell
Even SUN DIRECT has started airing a TEST HD (LUXE TV) channel it is FTA and is awesome.....currently i am watching the same...

Below is the list of HDTV (FTA) channels in C&KU band for Indian region for your reference:

You simply require a HDTV satellite receiver apart from HD-Television.Also for C-Band you need a antenna with bigger size compared to KU-Band

You can buy any dreambox 8000 series, which is HD ready and can use the box to view these channels, the price of the box is around 35k and it is not availabile in India

yes yes yes yes yes yes i know soon discovery channel is going to launch three new channels in india 1 discovery science 2 discovery turbo3 discovey HDat the end of julyi dont know about above 2 but 3rd one is totally HDbut u need HDMI in ur STB and TV as well to recieve in HD

ALL tata(sky+ boxes are HD capable and READY, only a sw update is reqd for enabling HDMI port
