Hi every1,I dont know how many of u use MTNL mails. Anyways the MTNL mail account can be also configured in IMAP mode in any mail client like Outlook/Outlook Express, other than configuring it as a POP3 accnt. This is useful for those who wud like the IMAP syncing system rather than the POP3 mail d/l'ing format. Plz let me know if any1 gets any help out of this.

You can also set-up an email client like Outlook Express or Netscape Messenger for sending
and receiving emails using your MTNL email address. The settings to be used are -
Set your incoming mail server as POP3 server.
For outgoing SMTP server use – smtp.mtnl.net.in
For incoming pop3 server use – pop.mtnl.net.in
Set your email client to use Authentication while sending mails.
For username use – email account username (email address without suffix)
For password use – email account password ( your broadband telephone number)
