Hello friends,One of my friend has go EVDO at Cochin Naval Base but connection speed is really poor. It's jut 100-300kbps (12KB/s-38KB/s)😢 EVDO tower, one which is Near Boat Shetty is just 1.2 KMs from area of it being used as per google earth. Still max signal achieved is just 3 bars in signal strength.Please tell me what is the max possible signal strength ie is it 5 bars or 6 bars and any idea how to improve the signal strength? Thay have provided PCMCIA card since USB card is not in the stock...at least with USB card one can get USB cable extension and manipulate the modem position which is not possible in PCMCIA:wall:Help...

Anyway about tower: there is one tower at the top of BSNL exchange, near boat shetty. So I measured distance of BSNL Exchange from area of interest.

even that speed will do in areas like kumar swami layout of bangalore where bsnl landline even takes 2 months and broadband 6 months😢no airtel is here,vsnl takes 2-3 weeks plus horrible service wimax,same fr reliance,sify is shitty fraudband and charge 4000 installation charge..it's a shame an area where dayanand sagar college is situated..broadband is almost extinct:wall:

Tata Indicom has few limited plans
Reliance is great,Many plans and You have 2 Months Unlimited sufing as an special offer and you need to pay Rs2850 as initial amount
It also has support forum Reliance Mobile - Discussion Forums (Powered by Invision Power Board)

@rbpyogesh...data cards are costly and i don't trust themm..howeva i am hoping that evdo ll work hr...i can download 7-10 gB with airtel edge on phone itself fr now..but i need more speed,hathway was gud in my earlier area..it's not here grrr

my gprs gives speeds from 0.1 kBps to 22kBps...it's very very unstable and speed can be very good to worst..on an average i download and upload around half a gB in total or more sometimes...which ain't bad for gprs i wud say...after night upload is excellent at 16kBps avg..only using safari browser from mobile....overall it's ok but not when u think it's 20rs per day or 99per week in bangalore😕
