Hi,I have a D-Link GLB- 502T Adsl router modem. This model does not have WiFi built in it. I have got a laptop with WiFi and I wanted to access the internet over it using my existing GLB-502T router without wiring the two. The router has a usb port and I want to know if I plug in a wireless usb adapter into the usb port on the router, will I able to use the router as a wifi enabled router and use the laptop to access the internet without the cabling ?

I plug in a wireless usb adapter into the usb port on the router,
Not possible.
Do you have One ? mention model/type etc ?
Basically a wiFi router converts the data into Wireless mode and transmits the same.
( same like a Cordless base station)
Your Lap top or Desktop computer must have a Wireless receiving device.
Wirless Lan Adapter to receive those signals without any physical connection to the router. For Example D-Link DWL 650 (IEEE 80211b) is inserted in the left hand side of your laptop usually.
Para two : What you can do is try EVDO card from BSNL , or buy a wifi router.
