The domain Google.com was booked on 1997-09-15 but Gmail.com was booked 2 years before google.com was booked, i.e on 13-aug-1995


Which means the Google guys had already planned to launch an email service even before launching their search engine...

I think its weird, Wot u think?

the fact that gmail.com was registered before google.com does not mean that they had planned gmail before planning google. it means that some company bought the domain and google took control over it.
