Connection problems in Goa - Error 678

We are located in Goa. There has been connection problems (Error 678) last few days. Support line says there is problem with the server. Are others experiencing this same problem?
 
Goenkar mare' :thumb:..............join the party..........im from goa too and im having a hell of a time with these guys.Had gone to change my router,and what arrogant guys i had to deal with (never listen to the customer care).......anyway temme your problem properly like what lights on your router are blinking and since when are you facing this ???
 
LED............ Colour ............Indication
DATA ..........Green - ..........Blinking While receiving / sending data.
PWR ............Green .........– Solid Power is ON.
LAN .............Green –......... Solid Ethernet connectivity to PC is established.
............. Green- Blinking Data Transfer between PC and Modem.
LINK............. Green – Solid ADSL Link successfully established.
...................Green – Blinking Modem is attempting to make an ADSL connection.
..................... ..... OFF ADSL connection not established.

It makes no difference.
Access the modem. In Advanced Mode look for Diagnostics page.
Or Device status /ADSL status will give you SNR and Attn data.
SNR preferably more than 6 Db higher the better
Attn less than 50 db the lower the better.
Start run cmd type ping 192.168.1.1
type ping Google
type tracert Google
Start Network/LAN/Properties/TCP/IP properties In DNS enter 208.67.220.220 and 208.67.222.222.
In the modem check modulation is G DMT interleaved.

Front Panel - LED Indicators
The ADSL Router is equipped with four LEDs on the front panel as described in the table
below
Name of LED Colour Indication
PWR Green The Power LED lights up when the router is powered
on
Status Green This LED blinks if router is in proper condition
ADSL Green This LED is off when an ADSL line is not detected.
It flashes when the router is attempting to make an ADSL
connection.
The LED is solidly lit when an ADSL connection has been
successfully established.
Ethernet Green Solidly lit when Ethernet connection to PC is OK
USB Green Solidly lit when USB connection to PC is OK
 
I've been trying to contact a friend in Panaji for days now...is there still network problems & on which day did they start? thx
 
I would guess its a network problem. So relax and wait while BSNL takes their own sweet time to figure it out !! I had this problem for about a month when my exchange was being shifted and these morons connected me to the wrong port !!
