how to get Static IP address

if u want to make online identity of your computer only to make an http server/ftp server/or want to host a site on your own computer.

use no-ip.com service insteed. using this you can get a domain name with dynamic ip address

alternatively u can use DynDNS.DK : Welcome (Dansk | English)

but when i try to portforward my router for counterstrike game..
i cant get access to router page by 192.168.1.1.
I tried the username and pass as admin.
but i am not able to login.

I am unable to login.
I need a static IP.

My friends managed to use the BSNL Home connection to host his own web site at home.Simply, he has wrote a script which, collects the IP address (assigned dynamically) and updates the IP address at his registered DNS server, upon successful connection to internet.Its as simple as this.

How to do it using web portal? I have submitted fee already but it has been 2 days and I have not recieved the form yet so i reckon i might be able to do using webportal quicker
