2.4 vs 5 Ghz band for outdoor use case/CPE

From what I know, higher frequency waves(up to a certain limit) has lower range because it is much easier to be reflected by walls and various objects but what about something like an outdoor CPE, suppose I am 100-200m away from my device and there are no obstacles so which frequency range will give better speed (2.4 or 5) supposing I am not using point to point CPE(one CPE directional antenna and one mobile), does transmitting 5 GHz frequency for about same speed require more energy/difficult to transmit as my mobile will be a limiting factor for upload to CPE.

5 would give better speed.

Not sure about the other question, though.
