Got a new Netgear DG834G adsl modem-router. But couldn't set it up in bridge mode last night. Please help.An elaborate instruction will be very helpful.thanks.
are you able to see multiple vpi/vci 0/35 etc etc in your adslrouter? i think i remember reading somewhere that some adsl routers support only one vpi/vci and bsnl requires multiple vpi/vci to work.. i cant confirm what i am saying.. but i somewhat remember..so configuring bridged mode could be complicated.. why not connect your bsnl modem with the Netgear.. and set the modem to bridged mode and use netgear as a wifi hub
Hey I have done it. It's the easiest thing I have done in my life because I thought it would be complex and so messed up.:yahoo😡superprash2003you scared me boy !!:hysterical:
as i mentioned above... i think some modems have only one vpi/vci channels and others have many..
Got a Netgear DG834Gv4 yesterday, it does seem to have only one vpi/vci configuration possible through the management interface. But configuring that to 0/35 works fine with dataone connection.
But I seem to be in trouble as I need another pair or two for the IPTV configuration. Since the box uses the same busybox linux and bcm chipset as in other utstarcom / D-Linkadsl modems, I think it should be possible to get it going. Will start a separate thread on that.
From CPE one Ethernet cable will go to PC for Internet
and another Ethernet cable will go to the Smart Electronics Device.
The output of Smart Electronics Device will be connected to your TV.
2.Even assuming more VPI/VCI settings can be entered,
you have to change the telephone line connection for
different ISP's. ( I do it for AIRTEL/BSNLBB same modem )
