@varkey issue was i had to run ipconfig /release and /renew
so now I am connected to the internet
but not able to login to D-Link router using 192.168.0.2 🙄.
how would I change the wifi password and all?

and PS4 is getting NAT type 2!! so thank you so much!!!

That's strange, you should still be able to access the D-Link on 192.168.0.2. What is your current IP address?

I am able to login from IE using http://dlinkrouter.local/
but not from chrome 😵
anyways I can login to router

I meant what is your current IP address of the client device? Also please make sure you update the DHCP range to exclude 192.168.0.2, so maybe put the range to start from 192.168.0.10

its 192.168.10.2
and dhcp range on optlink is from 192.168.10.2 to 192.168.10.254

🤦‍♂️ That defeats the whole point of whatever we discussed.

If you need to access the D-Link it needs to be on the same subnet. You should now need to change the DHCP range to start from .10 and change the D-Link IP address to 192.168.10.2 or vice versa. Basically in a simple setup such as this, all devices need to be on the same subnet for things to work correctly.

Hello Friends,🙂
I am facing a similar problem on my PS4.
The NAT type is Moderate ,where as i need open NAT for multiplayer gamng, reducing the ping and enjoying a better gaming experience.

My connection is as such.

PS4 ( static IP 192.168.0.103) ( LAN cable)> Connected to Tenda WIFI Router ( LAN cable)> Connected to Optilink ONT (Products | MEN SWITCH, MEN SWITCHES, GPON ONT, GPON OLT, GEPON OLT, GEPON ONU)

I tried port forwarding on the Tenda Router but it didnt work.
Then after some research i found out that i need to opn the ports on the Optilink ONT.

Now my main question is how do i enable port forwarding on the Optilink ONT ???



The ports i need to forward on the PS 4 are
PlayStation 4 TCP Ports 80, 443, 1935, 3478-3480
UDP ports 3074, 3478-3479


Looking for a positive response and help.

@stringer.6 NAT type has nothing to do with ping. You can even get less ping on strict NAT. By moderate, do you mean nat type 2?
