Wifi settings for iphone

How and what settings do i enter for my iPhone to work on a wireless Linksys router.....i get connected to the router but it says that it cant connect cos it cant find the server...pls help

Correct DNS settings (using OpenDNS)

If using your router as the DNS server fails, or if you prefer to use a public DNS server, I highly recommend using a DNS server hosted by OpenDNS. OpenDNS is a safer, faster, and smarter way to navigate the internet. To use OpenDNS as the DNS server, change the IP Address to 208.67.222.222 or 208.67.220.220

i have changes the dns setting but i am not getting assigned n e ip address......all fields remain blank.....

1. Start run type cmd type ipconfig/all/ please give details. ( when connected to Internet and surfing ok )2. What is the modem number of your Linksys wifi router ?3. Are you using any separate modem given by MTNL ? model number.4. The OS in your computer.Para Two: Try in computer : Network/Lan/properties/ TCP/IP properties select assign IP address automatically. Enter open dns . Check Wireless Network available.

make sure you have enabled DHCP in your modem/router.. go to the modem/router's configuration page (192.168.1.1 is the default).. then look for an option called DHCP.. and enable it if it is not so!!

Facing a similar problem . iPhone 4 . Mtnl wifi not working. Wifi working on ipad/ laptop etcRequest help. Please explin in simple terms, i do not understand dns etc
