i think i am lucky that i do not travel by train at all so i do not have to deal with their shithole of a website.
 
I had noticed exactly same -- and why round off to nearest multiple of 5? Roundoff to nearest number.
 
I wonder what happens to Gst on this number. Local stores with Gst billing also round off in their favor and pocket the change. Though in paisa in their case.
 
Well rounding off to some paise is fine because noone has change.

But for online payments you can easily do fractional payments as well and yet they round it off

They even argued that - that they have that power to set price under some section XYZ.

And they even claimed that railway already gives huge discounts on tickets so 5Rs extra should not bother anyone!
 
^ also out of two UPI paytment gateways, one(axis bank I think) charges 10rs extra for UPI payments. wtf is up with that? wherever you see its money grabbing techniques with railways without providing decent service

Google should ban all the apps which send advertisement via push notification.

Or allow user to disable push notification which are just advertisements.
