Why don't BSNL have any speedtest server on speedtest.net?

Considering how easy it is to setup one, I am guessing no one at BSNL is really bothered about it. 🤔

@Rajneesh Rana is correct. BSNL had set up four speedtest.net servers (2016) in Pune (West zone), Noida (North), Bangalore (South) and for reasons best known to ONLY Bsnl - Mumbai for East zone! The reason for setting these servers according to official BSNL sources was that they were fed up of the complaints they were receiving of slow broadband speeds from their subscribers throughout the country who tested their speeds from third-party servers on the speedtest site and were getting "false" results. BSNL officials were of the opinion that their speeds were much higher than what was generated from those third party servers. So, they set up four speedtest servers of their own.

Now comes the hilarious part. Only after a few months of setting those servers, BSNL withdrew them! The official reason cited was and I quote:

"‘Advertisement of BSNL’s competitor on same page"

In all probability, this ludicrous reason was cited when BSNL found out that their subscribers complaints were genuine and that their speeds were not that different from the third-party servers! BSNL being worried about competitors poaching their customers through some advertisements on a speedtest website is ridiculous! After that they set up their own speed testing websites (probably to manipulate their subscribers results to keep them happy).
