Microsoft Edge Updates

Get 360 Viewer - Microsoft Store

With the 360 Viewer Microsoft Edge extension, you can view 360 videos and photos from many popular websites on your Windows Mixed Reality headset.

When a Windows Mixed Reality headset is plugged into your PC, view 360 videos and photos in your headset from Microsoft Edge by clicking the Windows Mixed Reality icon that has been added to the video or photo.

Currently supports content from these websites: YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, Veer.tv and NYTimes. Websites that embed content from YouTube also work.

Note: you can navigate to a website in Microsoft Edge on your desktop (not in Edge in the Cliff house), play a 360 video and click on the Mixed Reality icon. This will automatically launch Windows Mixed Reality and start playing the 360 video in your headset as long as you have your headset plugged into your PC.

Microsoft gives parents peace of mind with new family features across devices - Windows Experience BlogWindows Experience Blog

With Microsoft Edge, the ability to allow or block websites has always existed on your PCs. Now, we are extending this feature to you and your family’s Android devices. If you have set up a Microsoft family group, any websites you have already tagged as allowed or blocked for your kid(s) will carry the same settings as they try to access websites in Microsoft Edge on their Android devices. The update will begin rolling out today.

I think it's quite likely, they (MS) are making code contributions to the chromium source.

Actually this thread title is little misleading. MS Edge is not on github. Its just a README and License file. No source code.

Also this is bad news for Firefox / Mozilla and possibly for us as far as our privacy is concerned.

Firefox is already dying a very slow death - now this might speed things up.
