Apple confirm that iPhones with older batteries are slowed down intentionally to avoid sudden shutdowns etc.

And I just did replacement for 1500Rs but not original battery few weeks back.

I would have gone for 2000Rs original battery has they did this earlier.
 
I got my dad's 6s battery replaced for free! Initially they told me to pay Rs. 2000 but later they informed that it was eligible for free replacement and Apple has been doing this for select 6s models. The replacement offer ends by Dec 2018 so if anyone else with iPhone 6s looking to swap your old battery, just verify with Apple customer care if your device is eligible and get it replaced!
