    Yup, This is a joke. They can't provide 8mbps on DSL. They will need vdsl for it. And for vdsl connection, your home should be under 500m from the exchange point.

    No Joke !

    BSNL will upgrade Pre-FUP download speed for all its broadband plans to 8 Mbps & above from 1st November, 2017.

    8-10 Mbps speeds can be achieved for up to 2.5 kms from DSLAM provided the line is noise-free !

    I'm about 1 km from exchange and I get 21 Mbps easily on ADSL 2+ !

    Technically, it is possible. Plan 1441 and plan 2841 provide 8mbps.

    About time that BSNL offers a flat 4 Mbps plan for ~ R.900/month !
