ABS Broadband User Experience in Gurgaon (TL;DR: AVOID!)

Abs guys seem to only care about speedtest results on den servers in Delhi. Works fine on that server for obvious reasons. Honestly, ABS only makes sense if alternatives are worse.

Other alternative is touch net. Any idea about that?

how can we know which one is backbone bandwidth provider of my isp ?

tracert cisco.com or any website (the website should not have peering with your ISP) and one of the IP will show your backbone.

Hey Guys,

To start with:- Pretty awesome post. thanks admin for sharing the spreadsheet of the DL speed till date.

I had 1 question: I have recently shifted from Pune to Gurgaon and to Gurgaon sec 38, I have shifted.

While I was in Pune I had access to spectranet and it was pretty fine, few complaints but none the less a decent ISP. Now the thing is for some reason i am not able to locate any other ISP provider in Sec: 38 other than the Den connection so I have opted for a 100 Mbps plan. reading the reviews it seems like this is one shit ISP. Do you guys have any insights to if there are other ISPs in the area?

I am not much of a downloading guy, but i love my gaming. 😀. I am a 5k MMr dota 2 player and on a road to 6K mmr, what do you think guys would the pings be tolerable for me to game MOBA on the internet?

for the last three four days... every second site would load the cloudflare recaptcha page. seems to happen when i am on abs ip. need to do more testing. load balancer makes things confusing here.

yup. it's abs. took out the cable and thewire.in skipped the cloudflare ip page. i guess someone on abs network is abusing the network. i am kind of amazed that i do not have this problem with excitel which is more likely to get abused because of how cheap it is!

connection is down since the storm in the evening.
checked the pole and it seems that the wiring is supporting one of the broken advertisement board that was stuck on the pole.
i am guessing that either the wiring is damaged or the box itself is damaged.

would find out tomorrow.
